I work at the intersection of technology, operations and business — mostly on the unglamorous middle, where a working model meets a working day.

Most of what I do falls into two buckets. The first is computer vision for enterprise clients: cameras pointed at industrial processes, and the much harder question of what anyone should do with what they see. The second is route and transport optimisation — I run Tyson, a logistics product, and write a series on dynamic route optimisation aimed at the people who carry the P&L rather than the people who build the models.

The thread between them is that neither is really a technology problem. The technology tends to work. What decides the outcome is whether an organisation can absorb what the technology tells it — whether a dispatcher trusts the plan, whether a plant manager acts on the alert, whether anyone changed the process the software was supposed to improve. That gap is the thing I find interesting, and it’s most of what I’ll write about here.

I’m based in Bangalore and work through Akrity. I’m also building something early around research and executive education, which I’ll say more about when there’s more to say.
